Our client is moving from an outsourced proposition to in-house accounting. This role is supported by an onsite bookkeeper/credit controller and reports to an off-site Head of Finance.

Accountant role will include:
Provide day to day leadership and financial management to the company, including responsibility for the integrity and timeliness of monthly reports on its financial condition.
Preparation and presentation of timely and accurate financial and management accounts – to include consolidation, variance analysis regarding Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Working Capital movements versus Budget/Financial Forecast.
Prepare statutory accounts.
Manage cash flow (accounts receivable/payable), cost control, and payroll function.
Oversee all purchases and PO’s.
Manage invoicing cycle and support contract administration.
Preparation and presentation of annual budget and forecasts.
Prepare the financial operational KPI framework, and exercise ownership regarding operational performance measurement versus target.
Support CEO and Senior Management in strategic decision making, financial planning and analysis.
Manage and ensure compliance tax requirements, internal and external audit processes, CRO compliance.
Work closely with all external parties on audit, insurance, revenue and banking etc.
Analyse and optimize internal control processes.
Ensure effective and robust financial controls and adopt a continuous improvement approach to finance process efficiency.
Identify issues impacting business growth and provide clear recommendations to enhance financial performance and strategic business
opportunities.
Present financial reporting and potential risk areas to senior management.
Identify and meeting funding requirements.
Other ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as necessitated.
Accountant Competencies & Key Skills:
Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA/ ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
Bachelor's Degree or Master’s in Business Administration, Financial Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong commercial acumen.
Experience in Cloud Based Accounting Software.
Track record of process improvement and cost saving initiatives.
Experience in running payroll.
