An excellent opportunity for an experienced Automotive Accountant with an established, rapidly expanding business offering an immediate challenge and strong potential for career progression. Due to its growth, the Group is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to strengthen its existing finance team

Responsibilities of an Accountant.  

-Uploading / supervision of uploading sales and purchase ledgers (XERO)

-Post / supervise credit card and petty cash expenses.

-Keep journals updated with correct postings, manage pre- payments, accruals and adjustments.

-Bank account balance reconciliation.

-Salary / Wage roll payments.

-Produce tax submissions for PAYE / NI vat returns and government pension submissions.

-Produce budgets for each business.

-Create monthly p/l accounts.

-Produce yearend closing statements.

-Compile fixed asset register.

-Produce submissions for Companies House.

Requirements for an Accountant

The role involves responsibility for day-to-day finance, monthly management accounts, annual reporting cycle including annual reports and ad-hoc project work.

Suitable applicants will ideally have the below experience:

• ACA qualified or equivalent
• Automotive experience
• Experience within a fast paced, innovative environment
• accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Credit Control: 1 year (Preferred)
