The Admin Dir Facilities Management is responsible for strategic oversight of the OUMC Facilities Engineering department and the OU Medicine, Inc Bio-Medical clinical engineering services.

Directs and manages the operations and activities of the Facilities Engineering Department at OUMC.
Provides Leadership for the Bio-Medical Department across the OUMI system. Reviews Bio-Medical equipment contracts for savings and risk to the organization. Provides oversight to Asset Management for cost savings and reliability.
Responsible for the overall management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by the OU Medical System.
Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with corporate, hospital, department and safety policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements.
Oversees all projects, both capital and in-house construction and turnover acceptance.
Responsible for providing high-quality service to and acting as liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees.
Responsible for the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in a healthcare environment including two (2) or more years of management experience. HVAC mechanical background preferred.
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires a thorough knowledge of Facilities Engineering policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements.
The ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority is required.
Very frequent interactive associations and managerial tasks are inherent in this position.
The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information verbally and in writing is essential.
A professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and employees are essential.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertinent to healthcare facilities, including The Joint Commission, NFPA 99, NFPA 101, OSHA, and EPA.
Knowledge of management principles as well as construction theory and principles.
Good working knowledge of mechanical systems, including energy management and control system, HVAC systems, plumbing and medical gases, electrical distribution, emergency power, fire protection/alarm systems, etc.
Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
Good communication and computer skills.
The ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
