Town & Forest Limited is a firm of Chartered Accountants with offices in Brent Cross (NW2) and Ringwood (BH24). The office in Brent Cross will soon be moving to St Albans. The company operates under the trading name Town & Forest and has 2 Directors and 11 staff. We are an expanding business and have recently incorporated and hived-up the trade and assets of our 2 previous firms called CAAS (London) and Vincent Clemas (Ringwood).
We provide a full range of professional services across the two offices, to a wide variety of clients based mainly around London, Hampshire, and Dorset, but also nationally and internationally. Our clients vary, and some examples are medium sized private companies, professional partnerships, smaller family businesses and sole traders.
The services we provide include auditing, accounting, corporate taxation, personal taxation, payroll, company secretarial and strategic planning and business forecasting. Part of our accounting service is to provide an outsourced bookkeeping solution for firms needing support. We also offer corporate finance advice on areas from start-ups, flotations, management buyouts, refinancing and selling businesses, which the firm has been involved in.
Job Specification – Audit & Accounts Semi Senior
The available position would involve working on company audits (both in the office and at clients’ premises), preparing accounts to trial balance stage, and preparing financial statements and corporation tax computations. It may also involve VAT returns, working on personal tax returns, various administrative duties, and any other work as required. The role may involve supervising other staff on audits and accounts jobs.
We would potentially offer the option to work remotely.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and increases based on exam success (where applicable) and practical work performance.
Our minimum entry requirements are:
– a 2:1 degree obtained in any subject;
– grade Bs in both English Language and Mathematics at GCSE;
– must have previous practice experience in the areas this position requires (at least 2 years experience); and
– must be conversant with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
It would be useful if the candidate has experience in any of the following software: MyWorkpapers for audits, TaxCalc, IRIS, Xero, Sage, and Quickbooks.
