The Opportunity

Specialist news, events and research business Digital Health Intelligence Ltd is recruiting an experienced conference producer and researcher, with proven experience of researching and putting together compelling high-quality conference programmes. Our events are focused at the intersection of the health, IT and start-up sectors.

The role is focused on researching and developing the programmes for two large-scale national events, plus a series of monthly regional networking events and webinars. Further event launches are planned this year.

The digital health sector has been critical in helping health and care respond to the unique challenges of Covid-19, through shifts to remote care and video consultations.

The past 12-months have been massively challenging to all events publishers. In the past year we have switched all our events to being fully virtual and while in-person events will eventually return we are committed to digital-first as the basis for all our future events. This requires innovation in programmes, their format and how they are delivered.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative researcher or conference producer to now join an innovative sector-leading independent publisher, now growing its events portfolio. Our main current events are:

• Digital Health Rewired Virtual Festival – week-long virtual conference and exhibition connecting NHS IT professionals with the best digital health start-ups and innovators – 3000 attendees
• Digital Health Virtual Summer Schools – two-day residential summer school, focused on best practice and networking, attended by 500 of the most senior NHS IT leaders
• Regional Network Events – programme of monthly regional best practice network events, delivered with NHS partners.
• Best Practice Webinars – year-round programme of best practice webinars.

About us:

We are an independent B2B media business publishing, research, events and professional networks arms all focused on the fast-evolving digital health sector.

This new role is focussed on researching, putting together and managing compelling original conference and event programmes and speaker database. In particular, working closely with our events, sales and intelligence team as well as the Digital Health Networks community we host.

The Networks NHS IT leadership community has been organically grown to over 5,500 members and is by far the best-established NHS IT leadership community, now growing internationally.

The Networks is delivered through a lively online community, two large-scale annual events (both now virtual) – the very popular Summer Schools and Rewired show; a programme of 10 virtual monthly regional events; and 40+ webinars annually.

The Job

• Work with editorial, events, marketing, sales, intelligence teams to research and develop programme ideas, identify themes and speakers.
• Work collaboratively with multiple partners in-house, including Programme Advisory Group, and externally to develop programme ideas
• Research and recommend innovative and impactful themes, speakers – avoiding ‘me too’ programmes
• Working with colleagues craft speaker programmes designed to work play to the strengths of online and appeal to new audiences.
• Plan and deliver programme and delegate marketing
• Manage relationships with a range of clients and partner organisations.
• Maintain a speaker bank covering our own speakers and those of competitors
• Conducting surveys and telephone research to produce the content for events
• Use delegate feedback data and surveys to identify most popular content and speakers from past events.
• Employ excellent communication skills to deal with senior decision makers, securing top level speakers
• Confidently and clearly brief speakers and guide them on what makes a great presentation
• Provide clear concise written briefs, programme and marketing copy
• Write engaging conference agendas and copy that deliver specific commercial benefits
• The candidate should have great IT and social media skills. Tools we use include: Microsoft Office and Teams, Slack, Salesforce CRM, Discourse, HootSuite, WordPress, SurveyMonkey, Zoom, Google Docs, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook,

About You

• You must be energetic and passionate about delivering great programmes and events
• You should have proven research skills and be able to your present ideas:
• Must should be inquisitive, curious and a tenacious self-starter.
• You must have great written and in-person communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A dynamic person who can quickly develop their own program and ideas
• Conference research and/or production experience is essential
• Previous experience of meeting with C-Level Executives
• Excellent networking skills required
• Applicants should be educated to at least graduate level
• Health and/or tech and start-up sector industry experience are highly desirable

Location

Digital Health is a currently and likely to remain a fully virtual organisation, with staff mostly based in and around London, though some are outside the UK. When the pandemic permits, we will likely return to having a London shared office to enable in-person meetings.
