Our client are a growing health technology company operating in the real world evidence (RWE) sector conducting research and studies within the life sciences sector. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Clinical Consultant will be the primary contact for clinical insight within the company and as this will be a client-facing role, you will be comfortable and confident in discussing research objectives with pharmaceutical clients.
Responsibilities:
The Clinical Consultant will provide clinical insight around pharmaceutical products to support the design of suitable research projects.
Support RWE Solution Specialists with specific pitches and project initiation, supporting the design and scoping of studies and interacting with clients on any clinical questions.
Provide research expertise to support the design of research projects, working with in-house epidemiologists.
The Clinical Consultant will have understanding of Real World datasets and their access processes to support the interrogation data and client questions – touching on clinical integrity or appropriateness of the datataset in answering questions.
You will keep up to date with latest developments to ensure the company are always correctly positioned.
The Clinical Consultant will support the reviewing of research study proposals and RFPs to help strengthen and improve positioning to clients.
Support in alignment of original study design and objectives are met within the delivery of final study.
Implement best practice methodology and approach for study design and delivery.
Experience:
The Clinical Consultant will ideally have a background in clinical practice with relevant training and qualifications.
Record of working in clinical research either within a pharmaceutical company or agency supplying to the pharmaceutical market.
Knowledge of Real World Evidence (RWE) datasets such as HES and CPRD.
Epidemiological qualifications (bonus but not essential).
Working at a senior management level in a growth environment.
Catalogue of publications and presentations in significant journals and/or conferences would be beneficial.
The Clinical Consultant will ideally have delivery or consultancy experience and pre-sales support/consultancy and client management knowledge.
Degree or equivalent experience in a field related to the life sciences or healthcare research
ABPI Code of Practice knowledge and exam (ideal but not essential).
