We are open to candidates from all corners of the world, however, candidates from other time zones will be required to be available for some crossover with GMT working hours. We recently launched a climate-risk platform which provides a holistic vantage point of company emissions with an array of analytics and data for risk management purposes. The new technology platform enables Urgentem’s clients to clearly understand their portfolio emissions and climate risks, meet regulatory and fiduciary reporting requirements and navigate the transition to a sustainable economy.

About the role: Urgentem is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and hard working individual to join the Data team in the field of sustainable finance. The role is a position within a dynamic eco-fintech company. This is a chance to be a part of a dynamic organisation that operates in a fast-growing area of finance. The experienced candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong data and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in the necessary technologies (R/Python/ MongoDB). Ideal candidate:
At Least 2 years experience as a programmer or quantitative analyst or climate finance analyst with a hedge fund or asset manager or bank in a risk/ trading function would be preferable. A typical profile would be an engineering graduate from a leading engineering school or university with subsequent experience and/or training in finance, a PhD student close to completion of his/her doctorate in one of the hard sciences, in finance or in economics, or a Postdoctoral fellow.
