This particular role sits within our Digital Adoption & Engagement Team (DAET). Their focus is on leveraging available technology to maximise investment costs and ROI, ensuring employees, students and other stakeholders can use, and are exploiting, the functionality of our digital investments.

Your challenge will be to deliver and embed the adoption, engagement and training strategy in support of the University’s ‘Digital First’ Transformation Strategy. Another key responsibility will be to develop blended learning tools, either through the creation of learning resources or signposting to ones that are already established and available. We’ll also rely on you to work with the team leader to resolve digital development issues, help position the team as key enablers to support our Digital Transformation programme and develop strong relationships between IT Services and a whole range of internal and external business stakeholders.

To make this challenging role yours, you’ll need a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, or significant equivalent demonstrable experience. We’ll also be looking for PRINCE2 certification, a similar project management qualification or comparable experience. In-depth knowledge of a range of corporate business systems is essential too, as is experience of both change management and stakeholder management. Used to developing blended learning content utilising a variety of tools, knowledge of continuous process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL or similar methodology, while not essential, would be useful too.

What’s for certain is that you have a flair for planning, prioritising and organising your work and a proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines while ensuring the effective use of resources. Great at analysing and communicating complex data to varied audiences in plain language, you’re confident in your ability to work across the University, and with systems suppliers, in order to build and strengthen working relationships. Above all, you have strong business analysis, data management and systems adoption and training skills and the experience of the change process it takes to manage large digital transformation projects.
