Workshop is a technology driven company developing innovative & new learning experiences for mobile & web. We’re a small team who believe passionately in the power of leveraging modern technology to revolutionise the digital learning landscape.
From starting out 4 years ago in the heart of London, we’ve helped over 20,000 people learn in a whole new way. With partnerships ranging from the UK’s best cooking and art schools to YouTube’s most successful food channel, we’re set to expand throughout 2020 and beyond.
About the role:
We are looking for a Software Developer who is comfortable working across our stack, with a preference towards front end development. This role requires you to be a tech-savvy contributor, capable of translating customer needs into exceptional user interfaces. You must be an acute problem solver and understand the importance in ensuring that your code is optimized both in terms of the underlying technology and in delivering the best user experience possible.
Work closely with product and development teams to create scalable APIs and elegant, cross-platform user interfaces.
Helping to develop design specifications as a pre-requisite to writing code.
Follow best practice principles to ensure that the product can scale.
Review and optimize cross-platform app & resource usage, monitoring key metrics and rectifying any issues proactively.
Support software builds and infrastructure; learn to manage and keep our systems up and running, helping out with deployment, monitoring and logging.
Collaborate with people across the business to come up with ways to automate and scale internal operations.
At Workshop, we don’t expect anyone to know all the answers. We have a culture of learning from one another, adapting fast and sharing ideas. We’re looking for people who can get up to speed quickly with our best practices and are comfortable working in a changing environment whilst being highly autonomous.
