About Data Solutions team Capital Markets Technology

Data Solutions for Capital Markets Technology team provide data solutions for Capital Markets business. The team is comprised of Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW), Business Intelligence Products (BI), and Application Development (App Dev) teams. The team works as a collective to design and build valuable data solutions for Capital Markets business.

The CDW Products team is responsible for delivering critical business logic and regulation requirements and data analytics requirements for BI reporting for the UK Equity, Derivatives Markets, Turquoise (Pan-European Equity Markets) and Foreign Exchange:

The team;

• Is small, focused and Agile – consisting of Technical Product Managers, in-house Technical leads and developers, external consultants and QA teams.
• Builds upon and maintains local relationships with the Business stakeholders and other Product teams (UK Equity Trading, Turquoise Trading, Foreign Exchange and Surveillance teams) with regards to Strategy, Vision, Roadmaps, Business Requirements etc.
• Progresses the Change Management process for Business Intelligence solutions.
• Helps the QA teams (offshore) to design, build and execute appropriate test suites.
• Works with users to train them, coordinating the test and acceptance of the final system solution (UAT)
• Gets the technology platform changes deployed into production (working with internal Technology Project Managers and teams who physically manage the environments and perform releases etc)
• 2nd/3rd line production support (issue investigation and analysis, evaluation of priority with business)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experience senior Business Analyst with Foreign Exchange business and data knowledge and understanding data warehouse technologies.

The candidate will be working closely with the Business, developers, and QA teams to deliver the following key capabilities for FX markets:

• Data landing from trading system
• Critical business logic as required by FX business
• Billing calculation and management for FX markets
• Regulation requirements
• Data Analyst requirements to support BI reporting
• Advanced data analyst requirements as required by FX business

The senior Business Analysis will report to FX Product Manager of Data Solutions, Capital Markets Technology.

Responsibilities for FX Senior Business Analyst:

• Communicate with key FX business stakeholders to collect and understand the requirements for FX markets
• Translate the business requirements into story and JIRA tickets systems for development teams
• Scope change and management from inception to production
• Coordinating and assisting with development teams, QA team and User Acceptance Testing
• Working with teams on change management and training
• Be able to commute with the business and regulation to make sure that we have understood the regulation requirements clearly for
• Good understanding of MiFID II requirements such as Transaction Reporting (RTS22), Reference Data Reporting, Market Making reporting, Transparency reporting, OTR reporting and Best execution reporting.
• Be able to commute with the business and regulation to make sure that we have understood the regulation requirements clearly.
• Engage proactively with the FX Business and other teams to identify change requirements and contribute to the overall product design.
• Setup and maintain a process for projects/stakeholders to submit requests for new features.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

• 8+ years in Business Analyst role with particular emphasis on Trading, Risk Management, Front-to-back processing, Operations, Regulatory Reporting, and other related Control functions.
• Proven track record for executing a structured approach, conceptual and analytical focus, and strong ability to understand complex front-to-back process setup and dependencies
• Engaged in supporting full project life cycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-live support.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving (Requirements analysis, documentation, specification, testing)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Visio
• Excellent communication skills and engagement with Stakeholders (Business and Technical); both written and verbal.
• Agile, Waterfall and full SDLC experience
• Extensive use of Jira/Scrum/Kanban in an Agile environment
