Are you a numerate and well-organised problem solver who enjoys using their initiative? If so, you are the perfect person to provide an efficient and reliable Income and debt recovery service for us. This is an interesting and varied role, and your duties will include helping tenants manage their rent payments, liaising with Housing Benefit, arranging repayments if necessary, identifying Housing Benefit overpayments and producing accurate administration records. Your role will also include court attendance and some home visits.
To succeed, you will need to be well-organised and have customer service experience, particularly dealing with a diverse customer base, either face-to-face or by telephone. You will have good knowledge of procedures relating to the recovery of outstanding debts, welfare reforms and welfare benefits, especially housing benefit and universal credit. Great communication, numerical and IT skills, and the ability to interpret financial information, are essential.
