Currie & Brown is currently looking for a full-time junior health and safety advisor for our client in Weybridge.
The successful candidate must live within commutable distance to the Weybridge/Woking area. The role will include achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.
This role would suit a health and safety advisor/consultant with one to two years’ experience in the construction sector, who would like to join an established team of safety and CDM professionals. The successful applicants will be subject to CTC clearance check as part of our recruitment process.
All About The Role
Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
Ensuring compliance with all aspects of health and safety legislation and best practise
Monitoring and reporting of the site contractors
Supporting the client in raising the standards of health and safety of the incumbent contractors
Undertaking site visits
Assisting with health and safety initiatives
Improving site safety
Answering to the health and safety manager and construction director on health and safety issues and documents
All About You
Requirements:
NEBOSH qualifications or equivalent
A keen interest in progressing their career in construction health and safety
A keen eye to spot health and safety non-compliance
Some understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and its application
Affable, amicable, with good organisational skills, ability to work without supervision
Good writing, client-facing and communication skills
Good working knowledge of MS Office and other applications
A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
