Lead Technologist- Diagnostic Radiology

Staff may be assigned to a specific point-of-service location or be assigned to a centralized deployable location; all staff members are expected to be able to cover in any. Experience in the following areas preferred: Strong organizational skills, experience in leadership preferred with managing schedules is highly desired. This position will include preceptor for Radiology students. Acting as a point person and evaluating skills as the semester progresses.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program preferred.
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)required.
State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required within 8 weeks after hire. Until the state license is obtained, technologist must work within the guidelines set forth by the State of Maine Board of Licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
Provides monitoring, coaching and evaluation of team members’ performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management. Serves as a positive role model by working with team members to promote teamwork and cooperation.
Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision making/problem solving.
Performs responsibilities of underlying job. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
Monitors equipment quality control testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
