The Post
As Performance Manager for Adult Social Care, you will take the lead on developing and maintaining fit-for-purpose performance management and intelligence frameworks, and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of statutory returns. You will lead a team of analysts, working with operational teams to ensure that they have access to valuable and effective management information, and that robust intelligence is at the heart of service provision.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to advise, guide and challenge service leaders, providing them with analysis and interpretation that supports day to day decision making and gives an accurate view of how we are doing. You will ensure that we have the information we need to inform and develop long term strategic plans that equips our services and our communities for a more complex and challenging future.
This post sits in our Performance, Insight and Improvement team, a multi-disciplinary team of specialists who work across the Community Wellbeing Department; encompassing Housing, Adult Social Care, and Public Health & Culture. The service helps operational teams to develop a better understanding of the challenges facing our services, to robustly monitor and improve quality, to gain more sophisticated insight into the needs and experiences of our customers, and to design and deliver lasting improvements across our services.

The right candidate will also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and evidence of building purposeful relationships across organisational boundaries. You’ll need to be able to convey complex technical information in an accessible and compelling way, and to turn requests from operational managers in to well-defined technical specifications for reports. You’ll need to be self-motivated, and have the proven ability to develop a “can-do” culture in your team, ensuring they have the skills they need to excel.
