Physical Therapy Assistant (PT) – Homecare & Hospice

**This position will serve patients in the Augusta area and surrounding towns**
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility and function
Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
Monitors patient’s responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the Physical Therapist.
Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
Educates the patient and family/caregiver. Assists with patient discharge planning.
Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
At least 1 year of PTA experience is required
Current licensure by Maine State Board of Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated exceptional customer service and communication skills
Solid computer skills
Valid state of Maine driver’s license with acceptable driving record
