We have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join our Property Safety Team as the fire safety lead. This recently expanded team manages all aspects of property safety across Hexagon’s residential portfolio. This includes fire safety, electrical safety, water hygiene, maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment and structural safety amongst other areas of safety.
Reporting to the Head of Property Safety you will be expected to have good levels of technical expertise and work collaboratively with other departments, contractors, residents and regulator(s) to ensure that residents’ homes are safe at all times.
Key areas of accountability will include:
Ensure timely delivery of the Fire Risk Assessment Programme and management of the Service Provider
Ensure completion of backlog Fire Actions in line with timescales agreed with the Directors.
Use the online system True Compliance to manage the FRA actions, ensure they are allocated the correct individuals and that when completed the system is updated.
In addition to excellent communication and customer care skills, the ideal candidate will have:
Appreciation of the principles of fire safety especially the commissioning of Fire Risk Assessments and dealing with the requirements
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the Fire Safety Reform Order (2005)
Experience of managing contracts\professional services providers (e.g. Fire Risk Assessors or similar) for a residential property portfolio
Experience of managing contractors undertaking fire safety related works / upgrades including contractual / financial management
Experience in working in a social housing environment for a Registered Landlord.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
