Under immediate supervision of a therapist, assists in carrying out treatment plan designed by therapist and prescribed by a physician.
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
Assists therapist in administering treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot and/or cold packs, supervised exercise, etc.
Assists with motorized traction to relieve neck and back pain
Assists therapist with patient transfers, exercise, walking, etc.
Prepares the treatment area by restocking supplies and linens, draining and cleaning the whirlpool, setting up treatment trays, etc.
Performs clerical duties such as pulling and filing patient charts
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience: Stable work record.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to prioritize tasks. Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff. Some computer skills. Basic reading, writing and math skills
