Key to this effort is identifying business opportunities and developing Government and Military relationships. This role reports to the VP of Government & Institutional Sales and will assist in managing all aspects of the organization’s military business.RequirementsIdentify, qualify, shape, and win strategically relevant business opportunities in the military, government, and municipalities segment. Plan, prepare, analyze, and define project/program requirements and scope by sourcing incoming opportunities on-line and other sources. Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) while developing, and executing requirements in Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), Submissions of Tender (SOT) and Response to Requirements.Use Project Management Planning tools to manage the allocation of budget, staff, and other resources (internal or external) to accomplish the goals and/or objectives of the organization. Provide leadership to project definition, analyses, and process improvement activities.Lead team members and other all members of the organization in all project management efforts supporting all military and government projects. Seek to acquire follow-on business associated with current projects. Support new business development by supporting proposals.Verify that all staff, sub-contractors meet minimum contract requirements. Review and approve sub-contractor invoices. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.Enterprise experience – cross-section of accounts; contain commercial market segments and government accounts. Build and execute account plans that drive sustainable business growth.Must adhere to company policies and procedures, conducting one’s self with, honesty, integrity while always keeping company and company-related business private and confidential. Able to travel as required.Required SkillsAviation & military experience preferred5+ years’ experience in sales, in the aviation industry or target-based environmentsDemonstrates a customer service mindsetExcellent oral and written communication skills & Strong negotiation skillsAbility to manage large and/or complex institutional accountsSmart, proactive, self-starter with a sense of urgency and “can do” attitudeRecommended ExperienceBS in Engineering, Business, or Financial ManagementForeign Military Sales experienceProgram Management Professional (PMP) certification
