The Post
The SENDIAS Team Manager would be responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day management of the Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information Advice & Support Service (SENDIASS). The SENDIASS team provide impartial information, advice and advocacy for children, young people and parents/carers on legislation, policy and practice in relation to SEND.
The Person
As the post holder, you will be motivated and committed to delivering services for young people and parents/carers on legislation, policy and practice in relation to SEND, providing advice and advocacy.
You will keep abreast of education and other relevant legislation and SEND policy, and lead the services in empowering families to navigate and express their views throughout the SEND process. You will also work with families and other stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the education, health and care of the child/young person concerned.
