A Senior Embedded Software Engineer is now needed to join a rapidly expanding Automotive company based in the Midlands. I am exclusively partnering with this company and this is one not to be missed!
As their Automotive Embedded Software Engineer you will be joining a Software Team as their First Embedded Software Engineer in the UK although they have a global presence spanning over 25 years with over 200 employees with their Head Office being based in America. The company highly value their team with flexible working and 1 – 2 days home working even after COVID as well as a high value on social activities outside of work and have a real passion to grow their UK offering.
As their Senior Embedded Software Engineer you will have autonomy over the direction of the projects working for high profile global OEM’s specialising in vehicle network interface products both hardware and software to interact and communicate with vehicle networks including the architecture. Some of the projects you will be working on are around the protocols and software stacks for clients and developing a charge control product.
Core skills include:-
Ability to design access and memory usage optimised Data structures and algorithms. · 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in C and/or C++ programming in an embedded bare metal environment. · Hands on experience working with RTOS and POSIX Operating systems · Knowledge of at least one scripting programming language such as Python/Ruby or Perl. · Familiar with Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN, SPI, FlexRay and automotive Ethernet. · Good knowledge of SoCs( NXP, TI, Infineon, ST ) Arm processor and FPGA based microcontroller firmwares and toolchains.
Desirable skills include:- · Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, ISO-26262 and other Automotive standards is highly regarded – Knowledge or prior experience with Qualcomm QCA would be advantageous · Experience with open source tools, Printed circuit board schematics and Ability to Establish non-functional requirements (security, reliability, maintainability, usability, etc.) at the solution level
