Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
Brent is one of the biggest local authority developers in London having received over £100m grant from the GLA and we’ve already completed over 200 new homes. We have a further 600 on site with another 800 under consideration. But we don’t intend to stop there! We are planning another ambitious bid to the GLA as part of the next round of London Affordable Housing Programme.
We want to recruit a senior landscape architect to work in the Council’s Housing Supply & Partnerships.
Not only do we want to develop new homes, we want to ensure that we provide outstanding landscaping working closely with our elected Members and residents. The Senior Landscape Architect will work with our communities to ensure that we provide open spaces that work for the people that live there.
We have made significant progress in a short period of time. We need team members who aren’t afraid to take responsibility to help take us forward and deliver the Council’s ambitions. We are looking for self starters who enjoy responsibility.
We are looking for an appropriately qualified Landscape design professional who has significant experience working with stakeholders preferably in a social housing environment.
