You will report into the IT Infrastructure Manager but will work closely with our Solutions Architect and Head of Business Transformation & Technology. You will act as a primary escalation point for technical queries and take responsibility for the delivery of technical projects in accordance with our IT strategy and technical roadmap.Responsibilities Provide an escalation point for both 1st and 2nd line Service desk engineers. Support new product releases, taking responsibility for technical input, including product evaluation, set up, testing and helping to embed new technology into the business. Promote Information Security policies and ensure adherence to them including data protection, acceptable use, change and release management. Work in accordance with our company values, policies and standards. Identify and explore opportunities for IT improvements with the ongoing continuous improvement of our infrastructure and cloud services. Act as a technical lead on infrastructure projects, supported by the Business Transformation team. Contribute to the IT business plan and technical roadmaps. Maintenance responsibilities including network, operating systems and backups. Troubleshoot and carry out route cause analysis as part of problem management. Work within service level agreements as documented by the IT Services Manager. Responsibility for ensuring our technical knowledge base and documentation are continuously reviewed and updated. Your Profile 3 + years’ experience working in a similar technical project role. Implementation experience working with Azure, Office 365 and Exchange online. Proven problem solver able to deliver and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Advance knowledge of Windows Server, Active directory, VMware. Excellent technical knowledge of Firewalls and VPN solutions. Understanding of ISO27001. A good understanding of WAN/LAN administration including DNS/DHCP and group policy. Experience of working with MPLS networks is desirable. Understanding of endpoint management and monitoring tools are required. A good understanding of administration of SAN storage and PowerShell. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to prioritise and managed workloads effectively. Organised and motivated.
