Based in the cosmopolitan borough of Redbridge in East London, the school are in an excellent location that is less than 10 minutes walking distance from a Central station. Children enter the school at well below their expected starting points, and make excellent progress throughout the Key Stages. Part of the reason for this progression is due to the 3rd teacher employed per year group, who is able to provide extra intervention and support where it is needed the most and as a result they enjoy a strong ‘Value Added’ score.

This KS2 Teacher position involves taking charge of a 30-strong class energetic Year 5 pupils and you will be utilising the excellent resources on offer, such as bright, airy classrooms and a refurbished ICT suite. All staff are offered a variety of training and opportunities for CPD and increasing their skillset; this training will have a positive impact on your teaching standards and help you throughout the rest of your career. The role has come to fruition due to an internal promotion which has also left an opportunity to coordinate Science. The parallel teacher is also the Assistant Head and will be on hand to advise and support you with your transition in to the role. They have a settled Senior Leadership Team with the Head Teacher being in post for over 6 years.

You will need to be a confident Year 5 Teacher who has previous experience working in an inner city school and a history of working closely with pupils with EAL requirements and those with Special Educational Needs. We want to see teachers with the drive to always set high standards for their students to achieve and cultivate a positive learning environment.

You will be an accomplished KS2 Teacher who has received successful appraisals/LO’s/learning walks etc with an excellent understanding of how to track and progress your students. You will be an ambitious individual who can help drive the forward momentum of the school and plan lessons that circumvent the need for behavioural management.
