You will work as part of the Revenue team within Client Accounts, with the wider Accounts department consisting of over 23 staff. You will report in to the Revenue Accounting Manager.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to work in our Gatwick office. The role will be part of the Revenue team and will report into the Revenue Accounting Manager.
The role will involve the accurate billing of WIP and disbursements, the management of live matters, to ensure WIP and disbursements are recovered, posting and writing off disbursements, time postings, reconciliation of ledgers and bill production. The emphasis is on billing experience. Ideally this should experience gained from another legal firm (previous experience of Aderant would be a bonus) but experience from professional organisation were the billing of time is required would also be beneficial.
WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include:
Previous experience of Solicitors Accounts Rules
Previous experience of bill production including fees/time, disbursements and VAT requirements
Knowledge of disbursements including purchase/counsel fee ledgers
Understanding of fee earner time recording
High level of numeracy
Good computer literacy skills, particularly strong in MS Excel
Flexible approach to work
Able to work to tight deadlines and maintain a calm attitude.
Willing to travel to other offices when required for training, meetings, cover for absent staff etc
