Why we need you
Cancer Research UK’s Therapeutic Discovery Laboratories is the in-house CRUK drug discovery unit. Based at the Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge, and the Francis Crick Institute, London, TDL comprises over 100 staff from both industrial and academic backgrounds.
We need you to provide administrative support to our team in Cambridge, working alongside the wider team to provide an efficient, comprehensive and proactive support function.
What will I be doing?

Providing administrative support to staff across all four sites
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with staff across our sites building a level of understanding of how the groups function and what their key priorities are
Registering staff for conferences, courses, and training
Working closely with members of the team and contribute to shared goals
Ordering and taking stock of office and kitchen supplies
Responding to general queries and signposting them to the appropriate policies and procedures
Making domestic and international travel arrangements for staff such as booking flights, taxis, train travel and hotel reservations.
Additional ad hoc administrative duties as required.
At TDL we bring together the best minds in basic and clinical cancer research, the rigour and drive of pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and our in-house drug discovery and alliance management capabilities to deliver breakthrough medicines for cancer patients.
The successful applicant will form an integral part of the CRUK-TDL team working alongside our scientific staff and operations team. The Administrative Assistant position would suit an efficient and well-organized individual with previous administrative experience providing high level support to multiple members of staff. This role requires a strong team player with excellent communication and time management skills.
