Assistant Procurement Manager wanted for a large UK Charity based in central London, looking for an energetic team player who is open to learning & self development, & has the ambition & character for a leadership role.
The Assistant Procurement Manager will be accountable for the day to day operational management of the Procurement function, its service level performance and customer service. They will champion their categories and suppliers, providing specialist advice to internal and external customers.
They will work effectively as part of a team collaborating with colleagues in delivering a high quality and efficient service to customers. Assisting the Procurement Manager to drive effective performance and achievement of KPIs, utilising the Contracts officer, whilst managing their own categories.
In addition, they will sample and audit service quality and compliance in line with percentages and targets agreed with the Procurement Manager. Utilising the Contracts Officer in reporting on service failures, risks, concerns, quality, compliance and consistency issues, and ensuring internal quality processes are in place and working effectively
You will need experience in buying across multiple categories, dealt with tenders & internal stakeholders, In return you’ll be part of a positive, dynamic team, get to be involved in charity events, get development & training to help progress your procurement career
