Currie & Brown is currently looking for a chartered building surveyor for our Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity to join our building surveying team who are an important part of our Bristol team. The role will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to further their career aspirations within our expanding team. We provide a range of building surveying services to public and private sector both locally and to support our wider UK business.
Responsibilities for the successful candidate(s) will include:
Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects
Delivering all work outputs in an accurately and timely manner
Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
BSc in building surveying or equivalent
Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
A minimum of three years’ technical delivery experience gained within a construction consultancy
Significant exposure to, and good working relations with, private and public sector clients
Well-developed skills in the areas of surveys, refurbishment, repairs and maintenance
IT skills (AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and other bespoke software)
Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
