About The Girls’ Network
The Girls’ Network aims to inspire and empower girls aged 14-19 from the least advantaged communities by connecting them to a mentor and a network of professional role models who are women. We support over 1200 girls a year via relationships with schools in London, Sussex, Portsmouth, the West Midlands, Greater Manchester, the North East, the Tees Valley and Merseyside. Professional volunteers are trained in mentoring and safeguarding by The Girls’ Network and meet their mentees at least once a month for a year. Mentoring is a journey, helping mentees get from where they are to where they want to be. We are looking for a Communications Officer to join our team, to be a key spokesperson for the charity and to support colleagues across regions to maintain excellent standards of communication, with the ultimate goal of growing the charity’s reach and reputation.

We’re looking for a motivated individual who is able to work independently but also take an active role as a key member of a national team. The role is varied and exciting, and there is scope for the successful candidate to shape it further by bringing creativity and a sense of initiative to our communications department. We’re looking for someone with experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment, and we’d love to hear about projects you’ve created, driven and delivered on your own or as the leader of a small team.
