I am currently representing a growing Economic Consultancy, in the search for talented individuals to join their growing advisories in their offices in London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin and Athens.
The successful candidate would support our team of electricity market specialists advising policymakers, regulators and investors on commercial, economic and strategic aspects of electricity markets. The role is for a Senior or Managing Consultant. A particular focus will be on deep understanding of the market challenges posed through the energy market transition to a decentralised and high renewable energy (RE) power mix.
The ideal candidate should command deep expertise in market operations, pricing dynamics and associated risks for market participants and have demonstrated business development experience . The profile of the successful candidate should include the following:
o University degree (Master) in economics and/or engineering;
o Proven commercial and strategic electricity market understanding – covering RE integration, flexibility, storage, electrification of heat and transport, smart grids and associated commercial risks for market participants;
o Interest and prior experience in business development to help grow service offering in electricity market economics with a focus on Europe;
o International project experience and interest in applying expertise across wide ranging energy markets (both in terms of location and state of transition);
o Advanced power market modelling capabilities an advantage but not necessary;
o Excellent plain English writing skills and ability to formulate complex economic issues clearly.
