Holden Jones has been engaged exclusively to recruit a new Finance Manager for a £20m turnover business that will support the Head of Finance in delivering a smooth month end, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and strengthening financial controls and compliance. A summary of the duties would be as follows:
Producing of the Management Accounts.
Reconcile key accounts
Maintain an accurate balance sheet including support documentation.
Quarterly VAT and PAYE submissions
Support the preparation and statutory accounts at year end for a number of entities
Efficient management of issuing and recording of UK and overseas sales invoices/credit notes.
Manage the credit control function and take a lead where appropriate.
Develop and manage a robust cash flow forecasting method and reporting framework
Ensure all banking arrangements are maintained and reported accurately.
The preference would be that the individual has a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACMA,ACA), although it is possible that qualified by experience may be considered. The successful applicant will have proven financial experience of managing month end and year end and liaising with auditors, have good knowledge of VAT and compliance and ideally have some treasury skills including cash flow management. The company has 2 accounting packages for different parts of the business so you will need to be adept at learning new technology and have advanced Excel. The ability to work effectively under time pressures and prioritise effectively will be key attributes to your approach to work.
