The post holder will be responsible for the financial accounting systems, processes and reporting of the Health Group (currently made up of nine Nexus sites). With the support of the Finance Assistant , this will include ensuring:
Accurate and timely financial information is made available to senior leadership to support effective decision making;
Appropriate financial accounting systems and processes are adopted to ensure effective control and management of the financial resources to ensure that the objectives of Nexus are met;
Effective treasury processes and policies are maintained.
The Health Group is a relatively new organisation following a merger in 2016/17 and is now in a position where a fully integrated and responsive finance function, including establishing new systems and processes across the health group, is required. The post holder will lead on the implementation of this new phase within the organisation.
As lead for the area, the post holder will be expected to provide adequate cover for key functions delivered by the finance team members in their absence.
