Finishings Site Manager / Finishings ManagerResidential new build Developments (for a main contractor)South London (within M25)PermanentSalary Negotiable: circa £50,000 – £55,000 + packageThis £65m contractor specialises (and has an excellent reputation) in new build residential schemes in and around London and the South East, with most, if not all of their work within the M25. Generally the company works on projects ranging from £1-7m, 3-5 storey apartments, building 20/21 sites a year.The company is looking for a Finishings Manager, someone with proven residential experience (working for either a building contractor (on residential schemes) or a residential developer) to look after projects south of the Thames (within M25). The role could be described as somewhere between a finishing foreman and a site manager. Role/duties:·Reporting to a site based Project Manager·Ensure a fluid construction process including management of all site labour and sub-contractors, management of the construction programme and keeping to a minimum / eliminating any potential programme delays.·Liaison with the client, subcontractors and associated consultants, and able to chair regular progress meetings.Ideal wish list of experience / qualifications:·3-5 years Finishing Manager/Foreman experience with Developers or Main Contractors in the UK·SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid at Work·Must have Housing Association (HA) experience (so understands the massive difference between inspection processes from private side and HA side)·Carpentry trade background is always appealing but by no means a prerequisite; knowledge and experience of residential finishings however is!
