We are an industry leading niche software consultancy playing a pivotal role in helping our clients solve problems, whether by product development, training, research or sharing knowledge. Our vision is to provide world class expertise in building innovative, scalable and resilient systems. We firmly believe in supporting and growing an open source community via collaborative, comfortable spaces that we create and curate. Whether it’s a start-up or giants like Mastercard Vocalink, Motorola, Toyota Connected and WhatsApp, we enable the community to discuss, debate and learn from each other’s and our ‘battle stories’.
Although distributed around the world, we’re united by our love of technology and prize honesty, transparency and co-operation. We’re a bright and agile team with diverse origins and backgrounds, having grown over 20 years from one man to c100 specialists comprising 20+ nationalities across offices and teams in Europe and the Americas.
Our continued growth brings with it many positive challenges such as ensuring our people continue to develop and are appropriately championed. To this end, we are now seeking a ‘Head of People’ to work closely with the CEO and regional office leads to continue developing and unifying our culture and values as part of a continued plan to build and embed a strong people capability.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of and shape a successful, diverse international and interesting business in a brand-new position; translating the vision, mission and goals into a people strategy and then delivering it to the business.
As a pragmatic problem solver who adapts their style to influence everyone to join and participate in the Erlang Solutions journey; you’ll be a believer in ‘people first’, and comfortable using your strong emotional intelligence to adapt to and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
It’s likely you’ll have experience working across a breadth of disciplines at a senior level in a HR function, possibly for a business with particularly technical or complex products and an international or geographically spread presence.
As this is a highly varied role, you’ll also find yourself coaching existing leaders in how to develop or manage their staff and in identifying and cultivating the next generation. While likely to be based in London, the role also requires some international travel.
