Base up to £60K depending on experience + Car Allowance + Achievable Double OTE with uncapped commission + Great benefits package. £120K + achievable
Established vendor of specialist patient management and vendor RFID tagging systems for NHS Hospital Trust Customers (part of large corporate public sector focused business services company) requires experienced Health Systems Software Sales professional with experience of the NHS procurement landscape and having a demonstrable track record in selling IT Solutions and software to the UK NHS Trust hospital secondary care market. These solutions have been designed in partnership with clinicians and health care trusts. They are also a leader in logistics and information management products for Health. The product portfolio includes a market leading sexual health patient management system.
In this role you will engage with new and existing our customers to define new ways in which to support them in providing reliable, robust and functionally rich solutions making it easier for practitioners to provide services – the demand for which has never been so high. They are genuinely excited by major recent project wins and fully expect more organisations to be pushing to join their growing user community.
We are looking for an experienced Sales professional with a clear track record of success in providing software solutions to the NHS. An in-depth knowledge of the procurement and governance processes used across the NHS is essential.
To join as a BDM/Team leader you must have a background of working in both New Name Sales and Account Management and any experience of leadership or management of a small team of quota-bearers will be ideal as we will be looking to build a team around the successful candidate. Your experience will enable you to coach team members in applying their new found NHS knowledge, realising entries in the order book, and developing Health expertise and helping with the career development of the team.
The BDM/Health Sales Team Leader role forms a key component within the growth plan and provides the successful applicant with a genuine opportunity to provide a positive contribution to this plan. Leading by example, you will be expected to help uncover leads, support their growth during the nurturing stages, help develop them into full-blown opportunities and ultimately build their user community and strengthen external relationships. Initially this will be 100% home based with increasing post Covid travel to UK hospitals and occasional visits to office hubs for team meetings.
Key Responsibilities also include input to the monthly forecasting, business approval process work, good use of Salesforce CRM, regular contact with colleagues to track and report upon progress towards success during the month. As the team grows you will be responsible for day to day management of a small team of less experienced sales / account managers including providing thought leadership and 1 to 1 coaching, reporting etc.
Required Skills and Experience:
A demonstrable track record of successfully selling software solutions to the NHS
Experience of Account Management and New Logo Sales
Previous Team Leader or Management experience of quota-bearing colleagues
Ability to influence all key accounts and new prospects positively, increasing contract values as well as ensuring client retention – as a pro-active “player-manager”
Ability to deliver results based on both own sales efforts and through the team you are leading
An ability to form strong and mutually beneficial business relationships with customers
Tenacity, as a highly energised and motivated individual with a high level of commitment and passion for achieving high levels of service excellence
A keen understanding of Health Authority and NHS procurement processes, including those involving competitive tender processes and frameworks
Good business judgement with a result-driven focus
Any experience of product launch activity and/or beta test site and reference partner agreements would be desirable but not essential
