Communicates with patients, providers and outside services to ensure appropriate order, patient history and authorizations are obtained for all diagnostic exams. Assists in patient preparation, prepares orders, prior authorizations and prepares images for transfer, maintain records and files.
Schedule Imaging exams and procedures, communicating exam prep instructions to ordering provider’s office and patient. Verify orders with adequate exam indication are present for all exams, consulting with providers as needed to ensure all required information is captured
Prepares and maintain an accurate clinical department record and assist clinical staff with patient prep and questionnaires. Obtain prior authorizations when needed
Organize the daily schedule for modality areas, in both written and electronic form, communicating schedule with staff and radiologist
Handle department communications, functioning as a receptionist, greeting patients and visitors, and handling telephone communications for film requests, orders, technologist messages
Medical certificate/credentials or associate’s degree
Preferred associates degree or higher and familiarity with medical terminology, plus minimum two years related experience
Weekdays: 6:45am-5:15pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, and 8:00am-5:00pm
