An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and self-motivated Job Coach to join our Lifestyles and Work team. This position is a permanent part time (18.75 hrs per week) role.
A Job coach will provide support to people with a learning disability on Employ Me programmes so that they can learn the skills needed to achieve and sustain paid employment. A key element of Employ Me are work experience placements and on-the-job support in real work settings.
The Job Coach role is based in London, covering in and around the Lambeth and Barnet area, but working remotely until we can resume normal business.
You will provide 1-1 support to individuals in the workplace ensuring that Individualised Learning Plan targets are achieved work skills are developed and paid employment is sustained.
Key skills and requirements (essential):
Experience of supporting people
Experience of providing job coaching support
Knowledge of supported employment
A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
Have an interest in and desire to know more about learning disability
Adaptable to work in range of environments
Effective/accurate record keeping and reporting
Professional conduct and attendance
