The main element of the role as the new Key Account Manager is to sell the INFECTIOUS DISEASE portfolio which includes PCR Kits, Assays, Collection Kits, Sequencing.
This is principally a ‘concept sell’ whereby you are not selling the physical products but the concept of their features and benefits – point of care diagnostics, ‘why knowing now matters’ .
The portfolio is broadly speaking blood analysers – You are trying to get buy in with CCG – Commissioning level, PHE – NHS Health Check and Sexual Health Leads, Hospital – High level (Business Managers/ Service Leads/Directorate Managers/ Consultants) Laboratory (Microbiology and Virology), Point of Care Team, ED, GUM and Procurement.
Area covers North London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire.
The Ideal Person:
As the new key account manager you will come with a sales track record of success in medical arena.
NHS knowledge is key and you will ideally come with experience within infectious diseases, cardiology or working in an emergency department but this is not a prerequisite .
Medical Devices Experience/diagnostics background BUT ANY Healthcare sales in essence.
MUST have good commercial acumen and have experience with dealing with Procurement and other non clinical decision makers as well as the clinicians.
You will be a senior level salesperson with gravitas.
