Location: Ealing Job Start: September 2020 Timetable: Full Time Contract: 12 Month Contract, Permanent thereafter. Package: Competitive
Our client, a well-regarded Independent Preparatory School in West London, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Y2 KS1 Teacher to join their successful and thriving school.
The School: The school is an established Prep Day School in trendy West London which caters for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11 and prepares them for entry into the country’s leading senior schools. The academic performance of the school is above the national average despite the school being non-selective on entry. The school offers a rich and broad curriculum and pupils make use of onsite as well as local facilities outside the school grounds. The atmosphere is warm and supportive and teachers are given the freedom to deliver their practice in the best way possible.
The role: A KS1 Teacher is required to oversee the smooth running of Year 2 class. The KS1 Teacher role is a key position in this small, supportive school and will require a dedicated practitioner. In addition to teaching the Y2 class, it is also desired that the incoming KS1 Teacher will also contribute to the extracurricular life of the school, contributing in any way they can to the school’s rich extracurricular programme. Dependent on experience, there is scope for the KS1 Teacher to also coordinate aspects of the curriculum across the whole school, subject to experience and interview. The incoming KS1 Teacher will be a dynamic and aspirational teacher looking for a significant role in a well-regarded West London prep school. The KS1 Teacher can be an experienced or newly qualified candidate.
Salary will be determined on the schools’ own generous scale and will be commensurate with skillset and experience.
The candidate: The ideal KS1 Teacher candidate will be someone who has a passion for working with young people and will have measurable success teaching at KS1. Experience coordinating IT or teaching IT at primary level is desired. Other kinds of whole-school initiatives could also be considered. Candidates should have a good degree from a reputable university and be an outstanding practitioner who is eager to take on school-wide responsibility.
If you do have the relevant requirements and would like to be considered for this opportunity please send through your CV, or call Phil at Connaught for more information.
