We are looking for an ambitious and energetic individual with proven sales expertise and experience to develop and expand the Methods client base in the software engineering and cybersecurity markets. Acting as a key public face for the Company you will have the professionalism, dedication, and drive to lead and apply Methods’ sales strategy in this growing area.
Having been founded a year ago within Methods BDT, the Development division, which includes the Cyber practice, is essentially a start-up business. The Company is therefore looking to drive a sustained period of significant growth in this key client offering. The creation of this targeted role is a key element of the strategy to drive this success.
You will have a strong grounding in current and future ICT technologies which is likely to include modern software engineering, public cloud platforms, data platforms, identity and access management, and cybersecurity capabilities. Likewise, you will understand agile delivery, migration from Legacy technologies, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
The overall aim for the role is to drive sustainable corporate growth through sourcing and winning new business; and forging strong, long term relationships with clients predominantly across the public sector.
Internally you will need to be the sales lead for the Development and Cyber capabilities, but also form strong collaborative relationships with the other three delivery areas: Business & Technology, Digital and Professional Services with a view to winning larger managed service opportunities.
The role may occasionally support sales with Methods Analytics and CoreAzure or with third party rainbow teams’ for client delivery.
We are looking for an individual with a demonstrable track record of delivering sales growth in this area. Moreover, your success to date will show a structured approach to account planning and developing trusted relationships with clients and representatives, to create a clear pipeline of potential opportunities.
Must be eligible for SC clearance (having been resident in the UK for the last 5 years).[AM1]

Our Sales Strategy
Methods have a three-tier account structure. Tier 1, strategic accounts, Tier 2, accounts with significant potential for development and Tier 3, transactional accounts.
This role will be primarily focused on developing new areas of work with clients in Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, focused on Development, DevOps, DevSecOps, identity, Cyber specialisms, SOCs, integration, and orchestration.
As a company, we are technology agnostic but have strong working relationships and supplier accreditations with ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jadu, AWS, and Microsoft. These last two are the mainstay of the Development division. We will aim to support growth in these key areas as well as open-source technologies.
The Ideal Candidate
Methods group is an established £100m digital services organisation providing a range of innovative business and technology capabilities, primarily to organisations mostly for the UK public sector. We have over 50 active clients many of whom have been working with us for more than 10 years.
Methods is a UK wide business with seven offices and headquarters in Central London, with 250+ staff across the group organised into three companies with Methods BDT being the largest, comprising approx. 80% of the turnover. The other companies are CoreAzure (specialising in Microsoft products) and Methods Analytics focusing on MI/BI, data science, and analytics.
Methods BDT has four delivery divisions comprising Digital, Business & Technology, Development, and Professional Services. Methods deliver a multi-disciplinary service in a range of areas including strategic reviews, business cases, wide-ranging business change through to digital transformation, application development, cloud migration and large scale service/DevOps support.
A major drive for many of our clients is to move to new modern cloud/PaaS/SaaS type delivery models in a secure fashion and to unlock the potential of using and sharing data. Methods support clients across the spectrum of ICT maturity with our key capability to deliver change; taking clients from Legacy technology and monolithic service contracts to new open platform, open standards-based technologies.
Methods work primarily on a project basis but we are increasingly winning and delivering business through service contracts.
Methods predominant client areas include central government and ALB’s, health, defence, all levels of education and local government.
