We require a Linux System Administrator?to join our engineering team. This role offers both remote and/or office working for Voiceflex , based in Soho London, who are a fast-growing and innovative telecommunication 2.0 carrier, selling to the industry not to end users, focused on providing the very best service to their channel partners. The company has a leading portfolio of products such as SIP Trunks, Hosted PBX and data products. Voiceflex are a trusted supplier to over 1000 plus channel partners.
Interviews and on-boarding will happen remotely for this role.
What is involved :
Responsible for the infrastructure and platform support and maintenance
Be proactive in making sure the product is running efficiently and effectively
Work with the development team to make sure one has total understanding of the platform and product and also advise the development team on any issues or observations when the product is running i n development and production.
As new features of the platform are being developed, be involved in the design and looking at iterations as they are released so you learn how the system works, behaves and is configured.
Regular documentation updates for changes or new implementations.
Working with other members of the team to recognize and propose and later implement potential changes in all areas of the stack.
What we are looking for:
Experience deploying on-premise, co-located and cloud-based server and network equipment
Extensive Linux knowledge (ideally CentOS based)
Extensive TCP/IP knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Thorough knowledge of virtualisation products such as KVM, qe mu , Pacemaker, DRDB
Experience with MySQL clusters
Experience with common network services like LDAP, RADIUS, Icinga
Experience with Puppet or similar tools
Strong security awareness & ability to deploy solutions consistent with security policy
