We are delighted to be working with a renowned high quality food retailer in London that is looking to add to their team.
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to manage the finances for their very busy retail outlets.
Key tasks and accountabilities
Preparation of month end Profit and Loss Accounts ensuring revenues and costs are accurately stated.
Assisting finance team in all aspects of the preparation, including posting journals, running reports, posting monthly packs onto intranet
Performing month end and quarter end balance sheet reconciliations for all relevant accounts and providing detailed explanations for any variances
Assisting in the year end statutory audit as required
Provide assistance and support where required during the annual budget process
Supporting junior staff
Skills and experience required
Qualified in CIMA, ACCA or equivalent accountancy qualification.
Industry experience in preparation of management accounts.
Excellent Excel skills.
Solid time management and organisation skills
Knowledge or experience with financial accounting software, specifically Xero
Good knowledge of a finance function and commercial/business understanding
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and will be work in a high pressured environment. The successful candidate will be a people person and will have a sense of humour. Experience within the food retail sector would be highly advantageous.
