Manage the day to day operations of Rehabilitation services; provide leadership through initiating and monitoring opportunities for best practice of patient/family centered care, and process improvement; manage, communicate and involve staff at all levels in process improvement to include the development of protocols, critical pathways, programmatic development, team building, and the consideration of operational issues. Serve as role model to Rehabilitation staff and students
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
License/Certifications: Active State of Maine PT, OT, SLP licensure or eligible for licensure; Certification by appropriate regulatory agencies; Current BLS certification.
Experience: Minimum five years of experience in an Academic Medical Center setting; Minimum of 3 years supervisory/managerial experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of PT, OT, SLP clinical practice(s) and standards, and skills necessary to perform all functions.
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers.
Analytical ability sufficient to identify patients at risk and initiate appropriate action.
Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families, and to plan strategies for managing these situations when they arise.
Analytical ability required gathering and interpreting information necessary to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
