Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Part Time

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a focus on GMP Area Support. You’ll maintain a high availability of all machinery and equipment by carrying out maintenance to all engineering services and machinery, responding to daily maintenance requests and breakdowns, as well as all other general maintenance issues when required – all with a focus on working within our GMP area to react to all machine breakdowns and minor stoppages.

You’ll also be required to offer general support to the Production and Manufacturing Departments from a technical standpoint.

The right candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and take a great enjoyment in solving problems, while adhering to all Quality Control and Health and Safety procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responding to breakdowns and minor stoppages on machinery and equipment, while carrying out essential maintenance within the GMP area.
Carrying out machine changeovers.
Managing machine change parts.
Planning and executing new electrical installations.
Maintaining electrical installations.
Mechanical and electrical fault finding on all equipment.
Maintenance across all mechanical areas, such as pneumatics, bearings, pumps, and valves.
Carrying out PPM, ensuring to record and update the CMMS System.
Planning and executing engineering projects.
Starting up and shutting down all engineering services.
Continually improving machinery, equipment, and processes.
General metal and plastic working.
Cleaning and filling of the domino printer for batch coding.
Setting up production machinery.
Running and maintaining the DI-water system.
Running and maintaining the DAF-Plant.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance department of a FMCG company.
Preferably mechanically and/or electrically apprenticeship trained within the UK or Europe.
A desire for making machinery work, vital attention-to-detail, problem solving and impeccable improvisational skills.
Innovative thinking, you have a desire to learn and adapt.
Ingenuity in creativity and excellent communication skills.

ADDITIONAL

Full-time position of 45 hours per week across 5 days, Monday – Sunday in 10 hour shifts.
Weekend shifts will alternate between all team members.

Office is conveniently located just 3 minutes’ walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon – both 20 minutes away. Approx. 30 min travel time from South West London, 35 mins from South London (Brixton, Stockwell etc.)

Position available immediately.
Starting salary of £38,000 – £41,000 per annum depending on experience.
