British Heart Foundation
Do you have a proven track record of securing meaningful partnerships that are creative, innovative and long-lasting? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
About the role
In a pivotal time where partnerships have been identified as the cornerstone of British Heart Foundations (BHF) 2030 organisational strategy we have a fantastic opportunity for a New Business Manager to join our award-winning Corporate Partnerships team.
We have had notable recent successes; an exciting relationship with Omaze, a brand partnership with Mindful Chef and six-figure corporate donations in response to COVID-19.
What is integral in coming into this role is significant experience in developing five and six-figure relationships, whether it’s been working for a charity in corporate partnerships or in a private company in a sales role.
Whilst this role will be based in London, the BHF will be following a blended approach between home and office working. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.
Please note this a 12 month fixed term contract, covering secondment.
We’re looking for an individual who can hit the ground running, demonstrating positive impact through new business development. You’ll have full ownership over a few key sectors with key opportunities for strategic, commercial, Charity of the Year and employee fundraising partnerships, to significantly drive income.
Working closely with colleagues in Account Management, Retail and Commercial, you’ll be responsible for wining and delivering new corporate partners.
You’ll have strong communication skills and will enjoy building excellent relationships both externally and internally. You will have a can-do attitude, be proactive and confident in every stage of the sales cycle.
A strategic thinker you’ll be brimming with innovative and creative ways to win new business. With excellent communication skills you’ll be able to present to stakeholders at all levels.
You’ll need demonstrable experience of securing at least six figure partnerships with fundraising at their core and will enjoy working across a variety of sectors to convey important messages about the BHF’s critical work. We would also welcome candidates with experience of exceeding financial targets, understanding the legal requirements of contracts and onboarding of clients. Additionally, have end-to-end experience of identifying, developing and selling of partnerships.
Every single one of us is vulnerable to the heartbreak caused by heart and circulatory diseases – they are the world’s biggest killers. But the research we fund represents hope. And nothing matters more than finding cures and treatments that give us more time with the people we love.
We celebrate diversity and make inclusion part of what we do every day. Diversity and Inclusion forms a main pillar in our People Experience Strategy. Our aim is for all of our colleagues and volunteers to bring their true self to work, so we can continue to fund life saving research.
Here at the BHF we understand that you might need a little help balancing your work and home life. Many of our people work flexibly in many different ways. Please feel free to talk to us about the flexibility you may need; we’re happy to explore what’s possible for you and the role.
