The health care force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community-focused, clinically-effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible, and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. The Nursing Resource Secretary serves a central role in staffing insuring that identified nursing positions are filled with qualified personnel, monitoring current staff qualifications, and preparing schedules with efficient staffing. The role also involves processing payroll and preparing reports. This position reports directly to the Resource Center (Float Pool) Manager
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. College degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience in hospital or health care setting preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of or ability to learn a variety of software systems.
