Current MaineHealth employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus. Must be separated from the MaineHealth system for 3 months to be eligible.
~24 Hours per week~
Responsible for the distribution of patient menus, coordinates patient snacks/supplies with Registered Dietician, assists in food preparation tasks and performs clerical duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
License/Certifications: 96 Hour Food Service Course is preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: See “License/Certifications.” Hospital and/or other health care facility experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
