This entry level clerical position is responsible for assisting in the production of the Medical Center’s various payrolls; including the timely processing of time records, data entry, sorting and distribution of paychecks and direct deposit advices, filing of documents, and distribution of reports. Researches and responds to employee concerns, as assigned.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:Ability to read and write in order to review, enter, and make corrections to payroll records at a level normally acquired through graduation from high school combined with 6 months to 1 year of business experience.
Experience: In a computerized office environment working with personal computers.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a wide variety of internal and external contacts in resolving issues and answering questions.
Analytical skills necessary in order to maintain on-line payroll records, research problems, and resolve employee concerns.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when reviewing, preparing, sorting, and filing various payroll documents.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Flexibility to deal with frequent interruptions.
Demonstration of integrity, maturity, dependability, stamina, tact, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in the performance of duties.
