London, Hybrid-Working (remote currently then 2 days in office in future)
A Planning Lawyer is required to join a Central Government team to provide high quality and strategic Planning Law services. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their Government team on an initial 6 month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
As a Planning Lawyer, you will be responsible for planning policies, safety policies, integration and regeneration. You will be responsible for boosting budgets for local growth, and supporting strong public services. The London planning team has 25 lawyers comprising of 6 teams. You will be providing legal advice alongside these teams on a wide range of planning and public law matters.
Key Responsibilities of the Planning Lawyer
Having an ambitious agenda to drive up housing supply and increase home ownership. Reform and develop planning policies and advise on planning decisions Be involved in the preparation of primary and secondary legislation.
Required Skills and experience of the Planning Lawyer
Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent) is essential. Minimum of 3 years PQE Planning Law experience Public law experience Experience of statutory drafting is desired.
