We are looking for a highly organised and creative individual to join us as Production Assistant in our growing in-house team.
Our team makes creative, inventive and inspiring films and still images to communicate the mission and vision of The Salvation Army in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
As a successful applicant, you will play a vital role working collaboratively throughout productions with team members to support the delivery of a range of films that engage, inform and inspire. Responsibility for maintaining the unit’s broadcast equipment and car, assisting on shoots, subtitling productions and supporting with the maintenance of databases and YouTube are just a few of the tasks you’ll find yourself doing. You’ll be working mostly in a small team but comfortable working on you own or as part of a larger team.

Our output includes documentaries, music videos, animations, as well as live multi-camera productions. We produce adverts for Television, Facebook advertising and films for Instagram and Youtube and the Salvation Army’s national website and internal communications. The Video Production Unit sits within the Fundraising and Marketing department and makes over 100 films a year, used at all levels of the organisation. The Unit’s films have twice been shortlisted for the Charity Film Awards, winning silver in 2019.
This is a permanent position based at our Headquarters currently at 101 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6BN. In 2022 we will be moving to our new, modern headquarters at Denmark Hill, London, SE5 8BQ. This exciting new building will provide a more effective workplace to help The Salvation Army better achieve its mission.
Applicants must be able to drive a manual car and have a full driver licence.
