Atnahs is a fast-growing and entrepreneurial international pharmaceutical business that has grown from £10m sales to £120m+ over the past 6 years. It trades a portfolio of 20+ branded medicines across 140+ markets globally from its headquarters in Basildon, and offices in Copenhagen and Vadodara.

Triton, a European PE house with €5bn in its latest fund, recently acquired a majority stake in the business with a view to accelerating its growth both organically and by acquisition. Atnahs’ strategy requires a significant pipeline of both M&A and Product Development deals.

Reporting to our Head of CIU, you will be responsible for the effective management of projects covering the full remit of mergers, acquisitions and Product Development transactions. You’ll project manage both these M&A and PD deals from start, project initialisation to completion, execution stage which are crucial for achieving growth and competitive advantage.

You will also be responsible for coordination of the team, collaborating externally with partners and internally with the Exec team, CIU and other PMs in the business to help drive these projects and other business initiatives to completion.

The role:

• Project management responsibilities include the coordination, monitoring of projects within budget and within scope. Maintaining project management documentation, project plans, reports for meetings and Board level reviews.
• Covering the full project remit from project initialisation to deal execution and completion.
• Building relationships with internal stakeholders as well as new and existing BD partners, ensuring a smooth process during product and company acquisition projects.
• Creation of project timelines and meeting structures to support the completion of individual projects, alongside their routine tracking and monitoring.
• Responsible for regular and reporting to Executive Team from an BD projects perspective.
• Managing deal pipelines for both M&A and PD, and coordinating monthly BD meetings.

Our ideal candidate:

A project manager with the ability to build relationships with both new and existing partners, ensuring a smooth DD and Q&A process during buy-side M&A and PD transactions.

• Project management experience in a similar role involving the key elements of M&A/transactional activty.
• Experienced gained in the pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous, knowledge of regulatory requirements and standard processes, efficient approaches to integration to facilitate mergers and acquisitions throughout the project.
• Experience of working with a multifunctional team.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent technical and IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• You must be able to collate and process and present data and financial information in a clear, intuitive and analytical manner.
• Strong relationship building skills.

This is a full time permanent position based in Basildon.
